W by John Clem, S and E by heirs of Charles Williams and all other sides by John Longmire. S/ John Kennedy, Ann (mark) Kennedy. Wit: Batte Evans, James Brown, William Evans, who swore by oath 14 Jan 1793 before James Harrison. J.P. Rcd. 27 May 1793. Pursuant to a precept of 22 Jun 1767 I have ameasured out unto David Kennedy 300 acres on the fork of Stephens Creek known by the name of Chevees and Hard Labor Creek bounded at SE corner by Joseph Addison. SC to John Longmire, for 50 pounds, sold 107 acres on east side Cuffeetown Creek adj. land of Thorn Freeman, SW by Samuel Stalnaker and all other sides by James and Joseph Wallace, who has in their possession a copy of a 300 acre plat. S/ John Kenady Ann (0) Kenady. Wit: Batte Evans, James Brown, William Evans, who swore by oath before James Harrison, J.P. Rcd. 27 May 1793.
Pp. 138-141. 1 Jun 1793: Power of Attorney: James Weatherford of Edgefield Co. SC appoints Maj. Parson of SC my attorney to sue and recover two negroes and their increase in possession of John Wilkerson of the frontiers of Virginia in Caintucket settlement as follows viz: 1 girl about 21 yrs. old named Sal of Yellowish complexion, and a boy, her brother, of a black complexion named Burton, and about 19 years old, but I have been informed their names have been changed. Said negroes were plundered from my father Martin Weatherford in Augusta about 1780 or 1781 and sold said Wilkerson by a party of men going over the mountain and likewise to take my papers out of the hands of Turner Williams given him some time ago unless said Williams pays said Parson 406 pounds for negroes recovered in Cumberland which I empower said Parsons to recieve. Pp. 141-144. 23 May 1793: William Humphreys to John Rushton, both of Edgefield Co. SC for 5 pounds, sold 250 acres being part of 922 acres granted 1792 to said Humphreys on Dry Creek of Little Saludah. Said tract on East end of tract adj. John Gillon, Coxes land, and James Gillon. S/ William Humphreys. Wit: Wm. Sisson, John Drinkard, James (J) Gillon, who swore by oath 29 May 1793 before Russell Wilson, J.P. Rcd. 1 Jun 1793.
Pp. 144-148 14 Feb 1792: Peter Hillard to Thomas Swearingin, both of Edgefield Co. SC for 10 pounds, sold 200 acres originally granted 3 Apr 1786 unto Peter Hillard on Shaws Creek of Edisto River. S/ Peter (8) Hillard. Wit: Josiah McDaniel, Henry Swearingin, who swore by oath 12 Mar 1793 before Joseph Hightower, J.P. Rcd. 3 Jun 1793.
