James Bulter was in Edgefield District by about February 1773. He made his will on March 14, 1811, listing his wife, Winifred [Brooks], certain family members and appointed his son, John and his son-in-law Hugh Ballentine as executors (Edgefield County Estate Records, Box 6, package 192, film #162240).
What was his daughter's name? Who were Hugh Ballentine's parents? Would like to correspond with anyone who has knowledge of this family.
