I too have been to the Horn's Creek Church this year. I wish I lived closer to Edgefield, SC, I would love to spend
the time cleaning and working on this church. Being that it
was established in the 1760's and my 5th Great Grandfater was one of the first members, Peter Youngblood, Sr., his 2nd wife Mary, and their son Jacob. They are not buried there, I believe the Youngblood family had a family plot somewhere in this area but it is lost, and Jacob died in Indiana (he is not to be confused with Jacob B. Youngblood)
It is a shame because no one has located the Youngblood family plot. I am told it was probably plowed over...Peter was a Rev. Soldier, and several of his son's were...Near the church, as you probably know yourself, there was a small battle of the Rev.
If you hear of anything concerning the saving of this church by any orginaztion, let me know. I live in Florida, so it is a long drive for me. But I am willing.
