Benjamin's father was Snowden Kirkland, born 1730 & died 1772 (?), His mother was Sibbell
who may have been Choctaw or Catawba Indian.
They belonged to Cloud Creek Baptist Church 1605-1805. Snowden had a survey of 350 acres on Pipe Creek of Savannah River touching Joshua Kirkland and John Clayton in 1763.
Benjamin Kirkland was born 1749 in S.C. and died in 1850 in S.C. He married Aulcey Odom
on 2/15/1797 in Edgefield County, S.C.
Benjamin's will, 3/13/1796 in Orangeburgh District, Winton County, S.C., mentioned his daughter and his sons. I would like to find
documention that Aulcey and Sibbell were Indians, if they were, and what happened to Aulcey after her husband's death. Sher must
not have gone to Ga. and Al. with her children.
