Michael -- I didn't help much, but I'll keep looking.

As for mine?

Sometimes I wonder if a state line was a mile post separating a High Sheriff and his posse from a horse or daughter which "looked just like one of ours".

As a prosecutor and "wannabe" historian, I am confident there was no federal Witness Protection Program in the 1830s.

Or was there?

If so, some of mine apparently "jined up"!
