Saddler/Sadler, SC/Ala/La
Posted by: Darrell S. Sadler Date: September 29, 2000 at 04:59:31
  of 1566

Seeking information on the William H. Saddler/Sadler family of Dallas county Alabama. My information shows that William dies in Bogue Chitto, Dallas County, Alabama, 16 December 1844. William's widow filed on his land holdings in 1846 and was granted 1/3 part of the holdings the same year. The 1850 Alabama Census list Elizabeth the Widow, and Williams children. They were Nancy born 1823 in South Carolina, Lucinda born 1831 South Carolina, Elizabeth born 1832 possibly in Abbeville District of South Carolina died 1866 in Selma Alabama, William born 1833 (1831?) in South Carolina and Malachi born 1838 in Bogue Chitto, Dallas County, Alabama. William possibly left South Carolina between 1833 and 1838. Could he had been associated with the Wagon Trains that left Edgefield in the early 1800. I believe this Sadler to be linked with the Richard Sadler family of York County South Carolina however I have no proof of this. Any assistance in the research of this family will be appreciated. I will gladly share what information that I have on my family with any one. The other lines that I research are, Griffin, Spears, Holman's, Wilson's, Strother's and Hussey's.
