Hello Charlotte, Benjamin Moses Kirkland and Alcey (Alice, Ailsey) Odom Kirkland were my ggggg-grandparents. They had at least six children: Caleb, Benjamin Jr., Moses (my gggg grandfather), Wm Sr., Richard, and Susannah. Benjamin--father--apparently died around 1805 in Orangeburg, Barnwell District. As you probably already know, Benjamin and and Alcey married in Edgefield. Yes, the family eventually moved to Henry county, They settled around what became known as Kirklands' Corner. Most of the descendents still live in southwest Ala or north Fla. I would be glad to exchange information. What kind of will did Benjamin leave? Was his father's name Richard Snowden Kirkland? Hope to hear from you soon. Andrea
