Edgefield Deed Book 28 pg. 58 lists a sale of land by John Mainor to Jeremiah Buckhalter, Deed, 17 Dec 1804, sold 300 acres on a branch of Little Stevenses (sic) Creek. In the list of people whose land is adjacent to what was sold is land belonging (among several others) William ADAMS and Henry ADAMS, with James ADAMS among those signing as witnesses.

My Adams line were in Monroe Co. GA by the 1830s-40s. I am still trying to definitely step back from a Benjamin ADAMS who left a will in Monroe Co. GA in 1847.

May I ask where in GA did those Adams that you are researching settle?
