Any information on James Charles Vessels/Vessells b abt 1729 ? d 1790 Edgefield S.C. He served in the Revolutionary war in S.C. 1780-82 Was married to Michel (Michele) unknown maiden name, unkown birth date, d 1814 Edgefield, S.C. I do not believe he was connected to the Maryland Vessels that moved to Kentucky . I have traced his desendants S.C. to Georgia to Alabama to present day Texas. His children I have been told were Catherine Vessels d1848, John & or James, Mary, Thomas 1784-1856, Elizabeth Vessels 1785, and Shadrach d 1782. Shadrach left a wife Ridleyand two or three sons to be raised by his father. I am having difficulty sorting dates and names, as every generation had a James, John, Thomas and Shadrach. In the South Carolina Revoutionary war Roster it lists: James Vessells, Thomas Vessells, John Vessels, and Shadrach Vessels. D1782.
Possibly connected to Virgina or North Carolina?
