Linda,

There is a cemetery located in Northern Edgefield County, not far from the Saluda County line. It is called the Hamilton Cemetery but from what I'm told, it's almost entirely Birds/Byrds buried there. I am interested in this particular cemetery as I believe it to be on property that was originally owned by my Hamilton ancestors. If this is the case, I would be interested to know what, if any, connection there is between the Hamiltons and Byrds.

The cemetery is on private property off a private road called Fred's Hideaway. I've had no luck tracking down the property owner thus far. I got brave and ventured down the road one afternoon and I can tell you that there is a VERY old house back there near the supposed location of the cemetery. Maybe this information will help you. If you find any information, or I can be of assistance, please let me know.

Kind regards,
Thomas Huffman
Augusta, GA
