There is a will for Thomas Deen of Edgefield in 1840, mentioning son Benjamin. http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov/onlinearchives/ViewImage.aspx?imageNumber=S108093001000153000a.jpg&recordId=302491
Also in Edgefield County Deeds, Books 42 and 43, there is a mention of Maryann Deen and Judith Deen, in deed from John Williams on page 77.
