Do y'all know of a Jesse Rhodes being raised by James Rhodes and Mary "Polly" Pace or by one of her sisters?

Jesse Rhodes is my twice great grandfather born 1796 in South Carolina.

Edgefield Deed Book 38, p 301, Jesse Roads to Martin Hitt, 17 October 1821, One thousand Dollars, 85 acres where on I live adj ands of James Carson, George DeLaughter, sd Martin Hitt and Stephens Creek, /s/ Jesse Rhodes. Wit C. Bussey, Wm Lewis, Proven 5 Nov 1821 by Charles Bussey Esqr, John R. Bartree JP. Rec 5 Nov 1821.

Couldn't find a deed showing when Jesse brought of from whom. Mary (Pace) Rhodes or one of her sisters gave this land to him. The land was originally owned by Richard Pace and Sarah Day.

Data taken from "Edgefield County, South Caroline Beed Books; 1 thru 40": sbstracted by Carol Wells.

George W. DeLaughter (Jr.) b. 1760 Edgefield County, South Carolina m. Charlotte Charity (Pace) Lee the daughter of Richard Pace and the widow of Ludbrook Lee.
James Rhodes b. 1761 Edgefield County, South Carolina m. Mary "Polly" Pace the daughter of Richard Pace.
Ludbrook Lee b.__ m. Charlotte Charity Pace the daughter of Richard Pace.
Martin Hitt b. 1770 the son of John Hitt and Sarah (Day) Pace. Sarah (Day) Pace was the wife of Richard Pace.

The 1850 Census of Leon and Lavaca Counties in Texas shows he was born in South Carolina. In 1815 he was in Edgfield Dis., South Carolina enlisting in Wm Olds Company to fight in the War of 1812.

My YDNA Test shows Samuel Saunders and Anna Gordon of Kentucky are his grandparents. Have not figured out which of their four sons is Jesse's father.

So an Angel or an UFO placed him on James and Mary's door step!
