I am looking for any information available on an Isham Harris who lived in Edgefield Co., South Carolina during the 1810 and 1820 census. He was also a witness to will in Abbeville District in 1799. I am investigating the person as a potential progenitor of my Harris family.

Based on the age ranges of Isham and his children given in the two South Carolina census lists, I would estimate Isham Harris was born around 1776.

Due to the presence of young children in the 1820 census, plus the age range of the females present, it is possible Isham was remarried to a younger woman in between the 1810 and 1820 census.

There appears to be several individuals named Isham Harris from North Carolina in the 1800 census and perhaps one of them is the one that lived in South Carolina in later censuses.

I would appreciate any information available on Isham Harris of Edgefield Co., South Carolina.
