Peter Straub (Strum/Sturm/Strom) who got 300 acres bounty land (His wife Maria got 100) in Edgefield Dist SC had 2 sons. Johan Jacob was born ca. 1752 and could possibly be your Jacob of Lexington County.
Henry (Henrick), born ca. 1740, received 150 a. bounty land, had 2 sons, possibly twins born ca. 1768 in Edgefield, SC. Some researchers suggest that Henry went to Georgia about 1800, although he may have returned to Edgefield before he died. Maybe he had His 2 sons are:
Henry Jr. who had a wife named Sarah.
William and 1st wife had son John who definitely went to Alabama 1830's, and William & 2nd wife Mary Cheatham had 8 sons and a daughter, born 1802 - 1829, but no Peter. I'm guessing Adam and Peter (b. 1810) are both sons of Johan Jacob.
I realize this is just a start, but hope it helps.
