Robert Carson's niece, Nancy (Carson) Rhodes, and family came to Texas in 1850 with H.W.Bozeman. They helped build the Bozeman Ferry and farm in Leon County, TX

In 1850 Census the families were listed in Lavaca and Leon Counties.
