Edgefield Court House, cir 1875

I'm trying to pinpoint the location of the Edgefield Court House about 1875.

I have a news article out of the Chronicle and Sentinel from March 1875 that describes the murder of my great-grandfathers 1st wife. It says the crime took place between Graniteville and Edgefield Court House, about 6 miles from the latter. A related article mentions the plantation of Dr. Shaw.

Any help in locating these landmarks would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any assistance - Richard
