Since South Carolina & North Carolina did not begin recording birth cerificates & death certificates until 1913(NC) & 1915 (SC)you will have to rely on Bible records & census records. Death records in SC are on microfilm at the State Archives in Columbia, SC from 1915 to the mid 1950's. As for marriage records Chesterfield County began recording those records in 1911 & then there is the possibility the intended bride & groom ran away to North Carolina to get married just like NC folks ran away to SC to get married.
