I was reviewing a Census map <see link below>, and saw a mention of a "Graves Mill Pond" and a nearby "Steen Mill Pond". It appears that "Graves Mill Pond" is located at the intersection of Shrine Pond Road and Little Black Creek, just east of Airport Road, in area between Pageland and Mt. Croghan.
Can anyone give me some history on that location and name of "Graves Mill Pond"?
I descend from John Wilson Graves (b.1852 d.1928) who is reported to have lived in area between Pageland and Mt. Croghan. He was reported to have a mill too.
