Seeking information on G.M. Hendrix (believed to be George M. Hendrix) who was born about 1837 in NC, and was found on the 1880-1910 census' of Cheraw, Chesterfield Co, SC.

In 1880 he was listed as railroad conducter, wife was Annie (b.c.1855 NC) and children were:
A.E.Hendrix (son) (b.c.1878-d.before 1900)
Mary A. Hendrix, (b.c.1884-d.after 1900)
Lilly M. Hendrix (b.c.1887-d.after 1900)

He may posibly be the same G.M. Hendrix found in Darlington Co, SC in 1860, who was the right age, and was listed as a clerk. He lived in a hotel owned by J.W. Gamble.

He may also possibly be the same "J.Gamble" living in Cheraw, Chesterfield Co, SC in 1870 and was listed as railroad conductor. The age and occupation are correct, but maybe the census taker made an error in the initial of his first name.

Any clues as to his family would be appreciated. Name may be spelled Hendricks also.
