My GGGG Grand-father was Soloman (Solomon) Luther who married Bettie ?Last name unknown. They had my GGG Grand-father, Sidney Luther, born Feb 11, 1822 and died Feb 16, 1908, who married Nancy Smith, born Feb 16, 1820 and died Jul 24, 1900. Her parents were Samuel Smith and Margaret ?Last name unknown. Sidney and Nancy had my GG Grand-father, William Samuel Luther, born Jul 7, 1853 and died Jan 22, 1929,who married Sally Melton, born Mar 22, 1874 and died Jul 17, 1958. They had my Great Grandfather, Dewey Soloman (Solomon) Luther born Jun 25, 1899 and died Jan 1978, who married in 1919 - my Great Grandmother, Faye Hanna (Hannah). Her parents were possibly ?John Hanna (Hannah) and Maggie Honeycutt (not sure if Maggie was her given name or a nickname). Faye Hanna (Hannah) had a half brother named Preston Hanna (Hannah). Dewey and Faye had at least 3 children that I know of: My grand-father, James Soloman Luther, born Oct. 27, 1919 and died Nov. 10, 1978 in Wadesboro, NC, Anson County, NC, Margaret Luther that married a Faulkner, and Sara Neal Luther that married a Flowers. James Soloman Luther married my grandmother, Dec. 25, 1942 - Lamer May Previtte born Oct. 30, 1921 and died Nov. 27, 2001 at Union Regional Medical Center, Monroe, NC and is also buried in Anson Co., NC. They had 2 children, my dad, James Dewey Luther and my aunt, Mary Elizabeth Luther that married 2 Crawford’s (brothers). Both of these children are still living. If anyone has anything on this line of Luther’s I would appreciate any help I could get.
