Thank you for this additional information. The Asa you mention (b. @1785/6) in the First Baptist Church Cemetery of Pageland, S.C., is the grandfather of the Asa I asked about. Asa and Pricilla were the parents of Charles Dees, and Charles was the father of Asa (b. 1839). Charles (b. 1807, Chesterfield Co., S. C.) and Frances Dees had the following children:

Asa b. 1839
Moses Dees b. @1840 (married Julia _)
William R. Dees b. @ 1845 (married @ 1866 Sophronia _)
Able Dees b. @ 1847

Ida Welch was a sister to my "Bessie" Sophronia R. R. (Dees) Livingston, both of whom were daughters of Asa and Susan.
After Asa's wife Susan Turner Dees died in Texas, he returned to S. C., but I don't have any information as to where or with whom he lived.
