According to "Chesterfield County, South Carolina Cemetery Survey, vol. 2, page 1151, there was an ASA DEES buried in the "Pigg Cemetery located on Hwy 151 in Pageland where Conbraco Industries now stands". The cemetery was removed to The First Baptist Church Cemetery of Pageland, S.C.
Asa Dees' tombstone states that he died May 27, 1878, age about 97. Next to him is his wife, Priscilla Dees, died May 5, 1876, age about 95.

Not sure this is the same Asa Dees you are inquiring about but he is the only Asa Dees in James Pigg's Cemetery Surveys of Chesterfield County. There are lot of other Dees buried in various cemeteries in Chesterfield County which are included in these surveys.

There is also an Ida Welsh, wife of J. M. Welsh, buried in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery not far from Pageland. Her tombstone shows that she was born February 12, 1868 and died October 19, 1957. Her husband was born April 5, 1868 and died December 22. 1947. I believe the middle inital "M" should be "A". The Pageland Journal of December 25, 1947 states that "James A. Welsh, 80, died suddenly early Monday morning December 22. Funeral sevices will be held this morning at 11a.m. at White Plains Baptist Church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. E.L. Penson, assisted by the Rev. C.M. Mitchum of Monroe. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Deese Welsh and two daughters, Mrs. L.W. Myers and Mrs. Henry Myers".
