SC - Peter L. THREATT 's Civil War service records comtain the following information: May 7, 1863 - Enlisted in Chesterfield, S.C. as a Private - Co. K, 1 (Butler's) South Carolina Infantry for the War. Appears on a Register of PRISONERS of WAR at Hart's Island, New York Harbor. March 22, 1865 - Captured in Bentonville, N.C. April 10, 1865 - Received at Post from Newbern, N.C. Released June 17, 1865 G.O 109 June 6, 1865 Name appears as signature to an Oath of Allegiance to the United States, subscribed and sworn to at Hart's Island, N.Y. Harbor, June 17, 1865. Place of residence Chesterfield District, S.C. Complexion (this appears to be the word "pale" but is very faint.) Hair Red Eyes Blue Height 5 ft. 10 in.
