Hi Cynthia;

Moab born Sept 1755, was not a young man when he married Sophia being about 65-67 years old. He apparently lived with his son Joab following, death of Dianna (Willis), until about this time (second marriage) or death of his son, Joab which occurred about 1830.

Sophia being a "Horton" before her marriage to Vincent Cato is hearsay, but I have heard it alot. As far as Moab's son marrying a child of Sophia and Vincent, I had not heard this before, but is possible. We have not developed Moab's children or his family, yet.

Known children are Joab married "Mary" ____, Roena married Thomas Small, "Milly" married Nathaniel Hough (not proven), which leaves three sons and one daughter (thought to be the entire family). We think his other sons, might be: Joshua, John, and Thomas; these names were found living close to Moab at the right time, for son's to leave the nest. They had property adjacent or close to Moab's. However they could be grandchildren, real easy, just do not know yet.

On the "Milley" married Nathaniel Hough, we cannot find proof of this, but we found a "Gift of Temor (a slave) to Milley Hough and Joshua Stevens, registered 1842). Moab kept lifetime estate of "Temor". This is all we have found on this association; however my Hough researchers think this marriage is quite possible and probable, just not proven. A Moss Hough witnessed the transaction which recorded the "Gift"; there are two Moss Hough's during the time period, Nathaniel's brother and a grandson.

I will send the information, "one of Vincent Cato's daughters married one of Moab's children" to my study group, so they can watch for any evidence in their searches.

I do not remember the original message, so I hope I answered any question; which I might have information on.

Don Lindley
