I need some help in identifying who William Rascoe's and his wife Nancy's parents were.
they are listed in the 1880 census of Chesterfield County SC, ED#2, Written page #2, dwelling #16, family # 17 as follows:
William Rascoe male 30
Nancy Rascoe female 31 wife
Susanna Rascoe female 10 daughter
Sandy Rascoe male 8 son
??? Rascoe male 5 son
It is my understanding that the son listed as Sandy was in fact Alexander Rascoe or Roscoe who married Annie Jane Lisenby and is buried in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Chesterfield.
Marie G. Wiggins in her book "Our Lisenby Lines" page 44 states that Alexander (Sandy) Roscoe was a son of Wiliam and Isabell Roscoe. Based on the 1880 census, I believe this is incorrect and Alexander was a son of another William Roscoe and wife Nancy rather then William and Isabell.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any information concerning the identity of William and Nancy Roscoe and their parents.
