Linda:
Thank you for your response. McBee was Alligator Township; even though, the Alligator fire district has grown.

My Great Great Grandmother is Charlotte Johnson, who married a Douglas and a Douglas married a Poston (as far as I know, three Douglas sisters married three Poston brothers). Charlotte's father was Bill Johnson. I have nothing on them, only there names. Could there be a connection with your Johnsons?

Most of my relatives are from McBee and surrounding areas. My mother was born in McBee. There are also some Johnsons off the Huggins branch. The connection stems from a female Poston marrying a Huggins and a Huggins married a Johnson.

I am suppose to go back to McBee and on up to Chesterfield next Saturday. I have found a cemetary where quite a few my Poston relatives are buried. It is in McBee off of Hwy 151 a few miles away from Hwy 1. I live in Elgin, Kershaw County, SC.

Again, I appreciate your response about McBee/Alligator Township. Good luck in your search and let me know if there may be a connection. One may never know.....

Sincerely,
Dale Lynn Iwancio
