William Batts Horton (1808-1874) was my great great great grandfather. His mother was Elizabeth Stanley (1775-1851). His mother had a sister named Lucy Stanley. Lucy was the wife of William Batts, the owner of the mill, which was located on Swift Creek in Chesterfield County, as depicted in Robert Mills'es 1825 atlas of South Carolina. Thus, William Batts Horton is the nephew of William Batts.
