William Stormont born Sept 15, 1785 died Aug 20, 1816, Chester SC, buried: Catholic Presby. Churchyard. Married Feb 2 1809 his 1st cousin, Sarah Stormont. This family moved to Mississippi in 1852. His tombstone said "Murdered". Court case said John Stormont (son of John and Elizabeth Maybin Stormont) and 2 other men were charged with "beating up" William in front of the Chester Co. Courthouse. William died 8 days later. John was acquitted, and the other 2 men indicted. Notify Administrator about this message?
