Are you positive that Katherine moved to Charleston? I know her sons Joseph and William went to Charleston and Joseph stayed there. Not sure what happened to William as I don't find him mentioned in Charleston after 1766. There are letters from Katherine from Massachusetts to her son Samuel in Charleston so he also went there at some point but left his wife Abigail in the north. Samuel didn't stay in Charleston but went back north. The letters are in the library at the historical society in Charleston.

Also there is some controversy on whether Kaherine was the wife of Samuel Felch or the daughter of Samuel and Katherine Felch as Katerine Smith Felch would have been too old to have all the children attibuted to her and Joseph.
