Researching immigration of James Sand(y)s, 1760's from Ireland

I am looking for any information concerning the immigration of James Sands (spelled Sandys before immigration).
He may have immigrated to Charleston, S.C. in either 1767 or 1769. He is listed as James Sandys, living in Irelend in the 1766 Ireland Religious Census.
He died in Bardstown, Kentucky in 1795. He is also my direct G... Grandfather.
