Can anyone tell me which of these children of Ollivor Russell and Bower (Green Williams) Russell led to the mother of J. Russell Cross, Addie Lea Russell? J. Russell Cross wrote Historic Ramblin's Through Berkeley and my line ties in with his. I think the line would have come down through one of these children: ---1880 SC Census, St. James Goose Creek Parish, Charleston Co, SC, img 39/66, ED 86, pg 39, stamped pg 205C, lines 9-19, HH 342 Fourth Subdivision. N. by Orangeburg Co., E. by St. Jno. Berkley, S. by Cypress Swamp, W. by Four Hole Swamp and Colleton Co., 23 & 24 June, roll=T9_1223, enumerator W.E. Murray Name Relation Marital Status Gender Race Age Birthplace Occ Father's BP Mother's BP Ollivor RUSSELL Self M Male W 56 b 1824 SC Farmer SC SC Bower RUSSELL Wife M Female W 43 b 1837 SC Keeping House SC SC Mary RUSSELL Dau S Female W 23 b 1857 SC SC SC Billi RUSSELL Dau S Female W 21 b 1859 SC SC SC Thomas RUSSELL Son S Male W 18 b 1862 SC Working On Farm SC SC William RUSSELL Son S Male W 15 b 1865 SC Working On Farm school SC SC Henry RUSSELL Son S Male W 13 b 1867 SC SC Working On Farm school SC SC Wisley RUSSELL Son S Male W 11 b 1869 SC SC Working On Farm school SC SC Lilly RUSSELL Dau S Female W 9 b 1871 SC school SC SC Capres RUSSELL Son S Male W 7 b 1873 SC school SC SC Matty RUSSELL Dau S Female W 3 b 1877 SC SC SC Of course I'm just working on a hunch that this is J. Russell Cross's line above. Historic Ramblin's mentions S. Oliver Russell several times but does not give the relationship to the author. I'd appreciate any help.
