The woman identified as Elizabeth Cacique, the wife of Capt. John Collins, has been identified as the daughter of a Cherokee chief. I could assume that Elizabeth was the daughter of Chief Jeremy and she inherited (what was later called) "Indian Field") when Chief Jeremy died, then it passed on to Jonah Collins. I believe these people are my direct ancestors. Can anyone confirm this relationship between Elizabeth Cacique and Chief Jeremy? Edward Manigault Notify Administrator about this message?
