I understand how you feel I haven't found my one grandparents lineage either! Errrrrr
I found his WW II Record on ancestry.com if you don't have a membership you should really try to get one it is so well worth the money.
I just went and looked and found this website where you I think can order his WW II Record info at. I'm not sure what info might be in it, but you never know he might have his Mother's name with a different spelling.
Plus try to get her death certificate and anything else you can get your hands on and post and repost everywhere.
