Hi: I am trying to break through an ongoing stone wall and I am hoping someone on here can help me!! I am looking for information on my G-Grandfather, Jessie W. Black who was married (2nd) to Mary Jane Ayer (Still). He was married to unknown (1st) and I know that Henry was one of the children from that marriage. The only child born of the 2nd marriage was Alice Elizabeth Black born 12-4-1904 in Lancaster SC. Jessie was a carpenter and moved around alot. Alice Black was my Grandmother. I have located what appears to be his death record which states the informant as Henry Black and Jessie's birthplace as Bamberg SC. It also states his wife as Alice (?) and his parents names as Doc Black and Unknown as mother. I have found some info that Clarendon Black was also know as Doc but I have found no evidence to tie Jessie in with that family. Alice is a mistake on there I believe since my grandmother's name was Alice and she was born of the 2nd marriage. Jessie and Mary Black were apparently separated prior to their deaths. Jessie died in 1938 in Bamberg SC and it indicated that he was born approx 1865. Can anyone connect with this?? Thanks, Lynn Homan
