Hi Joe. I am not related. Genealogy is my hobby.

I did a search for Susannah Taylor at SC archives and got two hits.

One was the Will of the William you mentioned, but James was not in it.

The other was the will of a David Sloan which mentions several Taylors.

There are 228 records for James Taylor. Of course this is a common name and you have to try to figure out which one is yours. There are three records for a Francis.

Here is the link to the archives...Look on first page for Records Indexes to Key Series Online, then look for Search Page (bottom right hand corner)
