Obits - Mary Caldwell Smith and her son Andrew Smith - from Honea Path

I'm looking for info on the people mentioned in Mary's obit from The State newspaper, approx. 1968 and her son Andrew's obit from The State dated 1963. She was my husband's gr-grandmother and he was my husband's grandfather. They both were from Honea Path, Anderson Co., SC. The obits are below (my notes are in parenthesis):

Mrs. Mary Smith - The State
Mrs. Mary Caldwell Smith, 101, widow of Charles Clayton Smith of 402 Harper Street, died at 11:45 Thursday night in a Columbia hospital following an illness of 13 years. Mrs. Smith, one of this sections eldest residents, was a native of Anderson County, a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Strickland Caldwell. She made her home in Honea Path for 59 years, and was a member of the Church of God. Her husband Charles Clayton Smith died a number of years ago. Surviving: two sons, Jesse and Perry Smith of Honea Path; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Holder and Mrs. Emma Sullivan of Honea Path; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Davis of Honea Path and Mrs. Sena Parker of Cheddar; 33 grandchildren, 84 gr-grandchildren and 17 gr-gr-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, Honea Path Church of God, the Rev. George L. Britt and the Rev. Paul R. Taylor officiating. Burial: East View Cemetery. Pallbearers: Gerald Gambrell, Clayton Holder, Derrell Gilmer, Bill Smith, Alton Smith and Odell Smith. Members of the Mother's Bible Class of the Church of God will form the escort of honor. The body is at the residence of granddaughter, Mrs. Christine Ridge, 104 Orr Street, with Pruitt Funeral Home in charge.

Andrew Smith - The State
October 20, 1963
Honea Path - Andrew Smith, 56, was fatally injured in an automobile accident in Columbia Friday night. A native of Anderson County, was the son of Mary Caldwell Smith of Columbia {State Hospital} and the late Clayton Smith. He had lived in Honea Path until a year ago, when he moved to Columbia. He was of the Church of God faith, and was employed by an air conditioning plant {Midland Heating & Air owned by Otto Hatfield, his son-in-law}. Survivors: mother; widow, Mrs. Addie Saxton {Saxon} Smith of Columbia; three sons, Fred {O.} Smith {mentally challenged} of Atlanta, GA, Bob Smith of Columbia {later moved to Greer, SC - deceased} and Tom Smith of Texas {deceased}; two daughters, Mrs. Junior {Otto} Hatfield {Mary Ellen Smith} and Mrs. T.J. Risinger {Marian Smith, wife of Thomas Joshua Risinger, Jr.} both of Columbia; two brothers, Jesse E. and William P. {William Perry} Smith of Honea Path; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Holder and Mrs. Emma Sullivan of Honea Path; eight grandchildren. Funeral 3pm Monday, Honea Path Church of God, the Rev. George Britt and the Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Burial: East View Cemetery. Pallbearers: Odell Smith, Alton Smith, Clayton Holder, William Smith, J.C. Smith and Elmer Smith. Honorary escort: Men's Bible Class of the church. The body will be at the home of a brother, William Smith, 3 Sirrine Street after 6pm Sunday and be placed in the church 2pm Monday. Pruitt Funeral Home.

Again - if anyone can tell me about the Smiths and/or Caldwells mentioned above, I certainly would appreciate it!
