In searching for one of our country churchyards today I came across the beginning of Stony Point and its first owner - Mr. William Smith. There is a lengthy tombstone inscription for him and also for his wife - Mrs. Lucy Smith. If you think you would like to have a copy of them let me know. Both were born in Culpeper County Virginia in the 1760s. It includes their children also and would you believe that one of them was John Anderson for whom I have searched for years?? - but it is not the one I need.

Let me know if you have a need for this. The lengthy eulogies (probably added by their children much later) show the way the people lived in those days.
