Dan, Just found your posting about Stewarts and McConnell with information about Cunninghams who intermarried with Sherrard.

I am searching for Nancy Stewart (sister to my gg grandfather Samuel Stewart (1800-1875/

Nancy Stewart is reported to have married John Sherrard snd moved to Cobb Co. GA, I found her in the 1850 census for Cobb Co., aged 60 (hence born circa 1790) with birthplace IRELAND. They were from Pendleton District. Rev. Ebener Pressley Stewart, Samuel's son was born "within the bounds of Pendleton Courthouse in 1837). Samuel Stewart's brother James G. Stewart and Samuel moved their families to Tippah Co., (NW of Neshoba Co.) before the 1850 census.

My main search is for the parents of Sasmuel Stewart, James G. Stewart, Nancy Stewart Sherrard, and Ann Stewart Cunningham.

A deed from them to Francis Cunningham made in 1841 in Anderson is all I have to go on.

I have been informed via internet that John Sherrard was an older brother of Alexander Sherrard.

Any assistance would be appreciated. I am not a descendant of Cunninghams (that I know of). One never knows a generation earlier what might be true.

Thanks. You can e-mail be direct, if you like at
