Spoon's in SC 1830-1880

My (step)brother is doing research on his father's line. James Odus Spoon b. 1903 in Laurens County, GA. Odus' grandfather was M.W. Spoon b. May 05, 1835 in SC. We have that he lived in & around Anderson & Iva, SC in 1860,70, 80 and was a blacksmith most of this time. M W, Milton W, & John Milton has shown up in different records in the area so we are unsure which one to believe. There is book with Milton W. Spoon burial at Rocky River Bapt near Iva, SC. We have yet to find marriage record for him and Tiney/Tiny ?? Some records say Tiny B. Lawless; some say Tiney/Tiny Gambell & some say Harriet Spoon. This is all mystery to us right now.

We find no census records for any Spoon's in SC before 1830.

If anyone has any leads for us we will be forever grateful. We have Milton & Tiny's family info after their marriage so if anyone needs any info we have please be in touch thru private email: geojans@hom.net

Happy Hunting,
Janice
