Seeking information on Joshua Butler Walsh, b. 30 May 1810, Pendleton Dist., SC.; d. 05 Jul 1888, NE. Vet. of Mexican American War and also served in the Seminole War in Florida in the 1830s. Married three times. Abandoned his second family (had several children from this marriage)and married a widow (Mercy Ann Darling Webb) They resided for a short time in Texas and then returned to Iowa where she was from, then to Knox Co., NE. He was also a bounty hunter in the "old west" and met his third and last wife while on a posse hunt for a horse thief while in Little McKinney, Texas. I am looking for his parentage and any family connections in the Anderson Co., SC area. Any information would be most appreciated.
