Augustus (A. G., Gus) Cook, Anderson County SC

Can anyone tell me anything about Dr. Augustus Cook, physician and store owner in Iva (Cook's Station) in Abbeville County near the Anderson line? Who were his parents? He was born in SC about 1823 and his wife was Mary, born about 1833. His known children (1880 Census) were William, Essie, Iva, and James. He is also in the 1860 and 1870 census in Anderson.

I am also trying to find the connection, if any, between Fenton Hall, Sarah Fenton Cook (husband?), and James Fenton Cook, my gggrandfather.

Are there minutes or membership rolls for Rocky River Baptist Church and First Creek Baptist Church? Who were the first members of First Creek?

My goal is to find the parents of James Fenton Cook, 1797-1852, who married Margaret Baskin. They lived in the Iva area.

Please respond if you know anything, especially before 1830. Thanks so much.
