Seeking info. on the above name's who lived in Abbeville Co., S. C. from 1840 - 1880. John Charles was born 1782, and died before 1870 near Long Cane, or Cedar Springs, S.C. His wife's name was Mary Magdaline Charles, her maiden is unknown. They had 9 children, Mary Harriet Charles born 1819, married Robert Dickson. Peter Charles born 1807, married Mary Delilah Stockman. Henry F. Charles was born Sept. 10, 1825, he married Sarah Zimmerman Jan. 29, 1845 in Abbeville Co., S.C., they had 9 children, and later moved to Georgia. Rachel B. Charles born 1828, married Thomas McNeill, Rebecca Charles born 1832, she also married Thomas McNeill. Harriett D. Charles born 1834, she married Robert L. Dickson. John Charles born 1814, married Lucy, they later moved to Edgefield Co., S.C.! Some of the McNeill's later moved to McCormick Co., S.C., and Robert & Harriet Dickson later lived in Elbert Co., Georgia. Anyone working on these line's please contact me llatham@peoplepc.com
