Hi Gregory,

My distant cousin, Paul Michael Sayres, did the DNA test through Ancestry. We are both descended from our 4th great grandfather, Hiram Sears, but through different sons. My line is:

Hiram Sears (b: about 1770 d: about 1844 Fauquier, Virginia)
UNKNOWN Sears (b: between 1800-1810 d: before 1855)
Newton Sayres (b: 1840 d: 1916)
Benjamin Joseph Sayers (b: 1884 d: 1963)
Elmer Allen Sayers (b: 1923 d: 1994)
Larry Allen Sayers (b: 1942 d: 1991)
Me

Newton's sister, Rebecca, married Joseph Wright Sayre from Salem, New Jersey (who is descended through Thomas).

None of the current family researchers can determine the name of Newton's father or get past Hiram in the line. Any help would be appreciated.

Respectfully submitted,

Shonda (Sayers) Feather
