Hiram was the son of William W. Sayles and Lydia Pearce. HIRAM SAYLES married HANNAH RICKARD in 1825 -- probably in New York. Hannah was a daughter of John Rickard and Catherine Ehle. Hannah Rickard was born 07 May 1806 in New York, and died 13 Apr 1882 in Medina County, Ohio. [FAMILY NOTES for the parents of Hannah Rickard: Catherine Ehle was a daughter of Peter I/J and Catherine Nellis Ehle and a granddaughter of Johannes Ehle.
