''Edward Clark Morey was president of the first class to graduate at University Syracuse and later got another undergraduate degree from Harvard and also a masters in the 1890's. Edward taught at Vermont Methodist Seminary when his younger brother William Henry Seward Morey was a student there. After some time as a professor he went into Finance.

One of Oldest S.U. Alumni, Edward Morey, dies at 89
EDWARD CLARK MOREY of Bernardsville, N.J. 89, a native of Syracuse and one of the oldest graduates of Syracuse University died yesterday at Morrison Hospital, New Jersey.
Mr. Morey was born February 10, 1862.
*He was a member of the class of '84 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa honorary fraternity. He was a trustee of the First Methodist Church in Pittsburgh, PA; and, a member of George W. Guthrie Lodge 691, F & A.M., and Scottish Rite Bodies.
He was employed for many years in the Bond Department of National Surety Co. in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are a son, Robert W. Morey of Short Hills, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Leslie N. Crichton of Livingston, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Walker [nee Morey] of Syracuse; and a brother, William Henry Seward Walker of Fort Jefferson [?].
Services will be conducted Monday at 10:30 A.M. at Riverview Cemetery in Baldwinsville, with the Rev. Curtiss Williams officiating. Fairfield & Meech funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
