Please I need some direction I ahve been searching on and off for over 10 years posted may posts and still I cannot find what happened to my great uncle
LIONEL P SAYER he was born in 1893 Wales to Emanuel and Sarah Sayer
In 1895 lived in Aysgarth Yorkshire
In 1908 lived in Oxford Street Doncaster Emanuel was working at Warmsworth Hall Emanuel was killed ina riding accident ( siblings were Florence Alexander and Wilfred )
In 1909 Sarah remarried and moved the family to Ulceby lincolnshire Step father was Harry Carr
1916 my grandfather Wilfred left the home he did nto get along with his stepfather
Alexander was killed in the WWI
In 1918 Sarah died and within 1 month Florence married her stepfather and my grandfather cut him self of from her ( now we know why he never mentioned a sister We only know from old post cards .... recently found out she married her stepfather )
My mother vaguley rmembers Lionel coming to visit late 1930's and early 1940's then nothing
We know he was in the ARMY as we have a photo
I have looked through soem of the death records from 1940 but have not been able to locate Lionel P
Where do I go from here ? ANy help or anyone who knows anything please respond thank you
