John Saxon, Manchester 1840

Does anyone have my gt-gt-gt-grandfather John Saxon in their records? In Pigot's 1841 Directory he was a musick instrument maker trading at 17 Oldham St, Manchester. His daughter Mary Ann was born in Blackburn, Lancs., in 1820/1, mother Sarah. I think John may be one of the Ashton-under-Lyne Saxons. I realise there are several John Saxons who married a Sarah about this time, but perhaps his unusual occupation may help? Mary Ann married Joseph Hill on 10 Aug 1840 from Port St, Ancoats, Manchester, so that may have been John Saxon's home address. I shall be grateful for any help.
Gerard
