Ron,

This is really in reply to your 1998 posting but it is applicable here as well.

I am researching the John Doyle Family and I came across an entry in the deed book from Halifax #1251 dated, 13 June 1766, which had a "John Mills, Jr and Bathiah his wife selling to a Wm. Tucker.......", Wit. John Doyle, Doyle Mills and Jeremiah Jenkins. Then I found in Halifax deed book #763, dated Nov. 1, 1763, "Bethiah Hardy, relict of Hugh Hardy, dec'd.........."

Also out of Edgecombe Court Minutes, 1757, Benajah Saxon m. Sarah Bradford relict of Nathaniel Bradford.

Hope this maybe fills in some blanks. Supposedly, John Mills, Jr. had a son William, unsure who the mother was, and this William m. a Sarah Doyle, d/o John Doyle and Mary Ellis. They had a son Doyle Mills. The Wm. Tucker in #1251 above was supposedly m. to a Priscilla Doyle who I am guessing is the sister of John Doyle who m. Mary Ellis.
