Eltira F. Saxon, born ca 1855 in Chickasaw County, MS, the son of Charley and Jane Saxon who were born in GA and who moved to Chickasaw County, settling around Houlka. Eltira was 14 y/o in the 1870 Chickasaw census, did not appear in 1880, and was in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 censuses. According to the 1900 census, he had a 19 y/o son in the house. He also had a 10 y/o son and an 8 y/o daughter. He and his wife said they had been married 2 years. It appears that he had at least one prior wife and maybe two.

Does anyone know anything about this Eltira Saxon?
