Regarding this SAXON line from the DAR application of Effie (SAXON) St. John, of Clay/Tallapoosa Co., AL:

John Saxon (1815-1908) m. Sarah Lackey (1820-1859).
Wm Allen Saxon b. 1851 m. 1875 Susan Bailey b. 1854.

Can anyone provide any substantiating documentation (other than from these DAR papers) concerning William SAXON and wife Lottie MOORE and their descendants?
There is a marriage record for John SAXON and Sarah Jane LACKEY in Tallapoosa Co., AL (1850), but I haven't found him in the 1850 census, or any records at all to identify his parentage or ancestry.

"Cora E." may have been the "Effie" SAXON (born ca 1880) who later married Randolph ST. JOHN and joined the NSDAR on the patriotic service of her supposed ancestor, William SAXON (born England, died 1813).
I am looking for any evidence whatsoever that this William SAXON existed, that he married Lottie MOORE, that he had a son William SAXON, Jr. who married Annie FINNEY, and/or that William and Annie (FINNEY) SAXON were the parents of John SAXON (born ca 1822 SC) who married Sarah Jane LACKEY in Tallapoosa Co., AL in 1850.
